Grievance Procedures

Major in Communication Disorders (Major Code: 240)

The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), in order to certify and provide professional speech and hearing services, requires a master’s degree in communication disorders. WTAMU’s Communication Disorders Program is nationally accredited through ASHA.

Communication Disorders Core Requirements (51 hours)

  • CD 2370, 2371, 2372, 2373, 2375, 3330, 3340, 3350, 3355, 3360, 3370, 4380, 4381, 4384, 4385, 4386 and 4390.

Required Related Courses

  • MATH 1314, BIOL 1406 and PHYS 1401 or CHEM 1405 or GEOL 1402, PSYC 2301 from University core curriculum.
  • BIOL 2401; ENGL 3311, PSYC 3310 or NURS 3304; PSYC 2314 or 2315; PSYC 3360.
